Brother Fortune...I think no sensible brain would write Essay..when asked for a Para...and it was clearly asked write A para of 300 words...then what is fun of writing an Essay??...this really closes this discussion...and I think we should not anymore...as now all those who have written Essay will support it...even knowing in their heart that they did a blunder...because no law/principle in universe can justify writing an Essay when asked for a Para...

My reality apart, I still assert my point. Sometimes, it is a gross blunder brushing aside rules yet there are exceptions to the rules. I did not take the exam therefore would, for sure, not advocate it. However, had I been a candidate, I would have chosen to respond adequately in given time. Anyways, Good wishes for those who summarized the answer of a 150 words question in just 300 words.

Isliye hi MOD walon ne is baar test NTS se karwaya hai & main ne NTS walon ko call ki thi staff result ke bare main tu unhon ne kaha result final kar ke MOD department ko de diya gaya hai aur jab wo kahein ge tu NTS website pe upload kar diya jaye ga tu is baat se itna tu maloom hota hai ke result tayar ho chuka hai & ab mere khayal se MOD wale selection karne main time le rahe hain kyun ke hum sab ne 3 posts ke liye apply kiya tha par test sirf ek howa ab result ki madad se MOD wale select karein ge kis ko kis post ke liye select karna hai phir jab NTS website pe result announce hoga tu sath post bhi likhi hogi & ye sirf meri thinking hai baki tu ALLAH janta hai ya MOD wale ke kya horaha hai...

Earlier, it was a lengthy process. Aspirants had to appear in two papers: Essay writing about 3500-4000 words and Current Affairs. It was unlikely of MOD to publish result on website or in newspapers, but it used to send letter to successful candidates separately congratulating them and asking for appearance in Psychological Test on the pattern of ISSB in Army Selection and Recruitment Centres. Again it would send call-up letters for interview to only the fortunate candidates. This was how the procedure, but too lately it has changed its policy for the scrutiny. A simple question to those who advocate universal rules for paragraph writing. Why don't you stick to number of words in an Essay writing paper for CSS? There a loads of evidences that candidates who wrote only 1000 words were awarded passing marks. Therefore, discussing length and rules is tantamount to prevaricating.

In order to corroborate your approach, i raise further queries in front of critics....

1. Why NTS furnished 8 pages (16 sides) for subjected portion ? even though separate sheets were offered.
2. Why 3.5 hours were allowed to attempt whereas it could be solved in 2.5 hours very easily if strictly restricted to 300 words ( may be it is minimum limit).

In other words i must say there is no loss for candidates who attempted subjective portion in more than 300 words in the scenario where the examiner supported it by means of providing separate sheets. However it can be beneficial for the candidates for writing more than 300 words if they remained stick to given outlines.

Dear! I have also been supporting those who have written adequate enough in given time to justify their point of view with regards questions and given outline. It was irrational of the candidates, just sticking to 300 words which was absolutely undesirable.

i called the nts and they said that they require approval from mod in order to announce the result .otherwise it will be like old times in which passing candidates will be discretely informed .

Maybe we all should call the Ministry Of Defence instead of NTS and ask them why are they not allowing NTS to announce the result.
I think every candidate has a right to know his own score in NTS test so that he can judge his own performance.
