Dear All:
AoA! By the grace of Allah Almighty, I Muhammad Naeem have been allocated as Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) under the PMS exams this year. But i have some queries regarding the post that i have been allocated to me.
First of all, I share what i know about this office.
- Motor Wing: deals with registration etc of vehicles
Hoteling Wing: deals with the movement of alcohol and all that in big restaurants and hotels.
Anti-Narcotics Wing: Responsible for curbing the use of drugs and narcotics
Taxation Side: may be collecting property taxes...not sure about it
But I want to know the complete in and out of this job like:
- What exactly are the functions that ETOs have to perform?
Where they are posted, in big cities only or even in small cities of the province as well?
Are they only given posts in their city of residence? e.g. LHR in my case?
What is the heirarchy of this post? How far they can reach in terms of grade?
When is the training of PMS officers going to be started and where it is generally held?
