No,Zakat Ordinance is not applicable on FATA,as this is a separate area where even constitution of Pakistan is not applicable,...same was the case with Zakat&Usher ordinance 1980.

Dear Maha ! in perspective of sub section 2A " the federal govt. may, by notification in the official Gazette,direct that this ordinance shall also apply to any other territories or area specified in the notification , subject to such exceptions and modification as may be so specified." then fata may come under this ordinance?

Its not a lucrative post , salary is around 30 k. Promotions are also slow. The main duty of the District Zakat Officer is the distribution of Zakat . However, one should try to grab government job in any case.

"District Zakat Officer guide". by Sohail Bhatti for the MCQS of the Zakat Ordinance. For other sections, Encyclopedia of General Knowledge by Adeel Niaz and past papers of ppsc are very good sources for the preparation of District Zakat Officer test.
