There was a rumor that one of the reason of delay was that PPSC is verifying the domicile of aspirants for Lahore region A&B; it was apprehended that due larger number of vacancies in these regions, applicants might have tried to obtained more than one domicile!
But still nothing can be said with certainty.

PPSC does not disclose written marks but my guess was round about 85.I didn't prepare specifically for excise test but I appeared in CSS 2014 with full preparation and on the bases of that I passed written test.In the interview I answered most of the questions except the ones related to Excise department.Earlier I failed in PPSC interview twice.Exceptions I noticed in last interview from previous unsuccessful attempts were level of my confidence and serial number in the interview list.I was the first one to be interviewed by one of the two panels in Rawalpindi.
