How the merit is determined by PPSC for general recruitment
Every year PPSC conduct various test to short list the appropriate candidates for various post, however, announcemt of result without grading, finally at interview level, creates various ambiguities in the mind of aspirants. My question is, why the authorities are so reluctant to disclose the marks when they documented the every content of recruitment.
Please, members, specially seniors in actual fields, justify the act of PPSC. |

Aggregate calculation
I think
40% of Academic Marks + 10% Written Exam + 50% Interview. I got 79% in Matric 66% in FA 69% in B.Com my academic aggregate as per ppsc criteria are 35.

Quote:
Academic Marks: 40 (max.) Written Test Marks: marks secured / 2 (50%) Total Interview Marks : 100 (required 50% marks to qualify) 10 marks are reserved for higher qualification like Ph.D & M.Phil in particulars posts. 40+50+100+10 = 200 |

Quote:
Written Test Marks: (60%) Marks secured*0.6 Total Interview Marks : 100 (required 50% marks to qualify) 10 additional marks are awarded for qualification like Ph.D & M.Phil in Gazetted Posts. There are no extra marks for higher qualification in non gazetted posts.

I got this information from a PPSC official. May be the criteria has been changed now but last year the formula was same as I mentioned in above post.

Academic Marks
I am sharing academic profile of a candidate.
Matric 84%, PPSC 9 F.Sc 82%, PPSC 12 B.Sc Annual 68%, PPSC 16 with this profile a candidate secure (9+12+16) 37 out of 40 as per PPSC formula. We may hypothesise that total marks are as follow Matric 10 Inter 12/13 Grad 18/17

I think Taimoor calculation is right.Test and interview have more value. For example a candidate got 90 plus marks in written test and 80% marks in interview and its acadmic marks is not too good.Average marks in its acadmic career, how much chance of its selection?
Plz elaborate:
