dear aspirants,
the best book for PMS exam Carvan Urdu compulsory by Ahmed Najeeb. This book will coover most of the syllabus of PMS (Urdu compulsory)

Dear Urdu Adab ki Tareekh by Anwer Sadeed and Urdu adab ki Tareekh By Amjad Shakir. These two books are enough for Urdu optional.
