Question Assistant director admin (PPSC)

Assalam-O-Aalikum,

A written test for the post of AD admin in the civil defense department is going to be held on 26th April, 2015. On yesterday's jang newspaper, it is mentioned that candidates can download their roll.no slips from www.ppsc.gop.pk. But, I have checked a lot but could not find any news / notification / link to download my admission letter / roll no.slip. If anybody knows about it then kindly let me know where to get this thing admission letter / roll no. slip ? Plus, the test is based on general ability and 100 mcq's will be asked in it. Kindly let me know as well that is the said test based on GAT or general knowledge ?

P.S: Those people having prior experience for the said post and those who can explain about what questions will be asked in general ability test kindly must reply. Thanks in anticipation.

Best regards.

Thumbs up

First, Roll #slips are uploaded 3, 4 days before the test is conducted. PPSC advertises the test date a week earlier to that in the newspaper.
Second, the candidate would get an auto-generated message from PPSC containing info about the test.
[B]When the said message is received, the candidate should check the PPSC's site. The roll no. slip would be available there.

For syllabus queries, PPSC tests generally include the following sequence: 30-35 questions from Pak Studies; the section start from the Mughal Empire and concludes in the 1990s Pakistan.
Then, there are 10-12 questions from current affairs. Recent happenings, the visits of the foreign delegates and the prominent politicians can be asked.
Then, EDS portion gets starts. Also, there are 5 to 6 questions from Basic Maths/Arithmetic. Then a major portion is from Islamic Studies. And, in the end, there are 10-15 questions from Urdu Literature.

Lastly, the highest scorers are called for the interview. 5 candidates are called for the 1 post. It means, the 10-12 highest scorers in the test will be called for Interview for this post as there are just 2 seats.

Hopefully, I've answered all the queries asked above.

Yes bro it will be held on 26th April, 2015. You can check ppsc website. So far passing marks are concerned, i don't have any idea but it's my guess that one has to score 50 marks in order to be call for interview. But, it's my own guess.

@RMKamran
Questions from Urdu section are general ones: Who started 'Hilal' newspaper? 'Anaarkali' is written by whom? 'Aag ka Darya' is written by whom? etc. etc.

Regarding merit or passing marks, I would say that 50 marks are not enough at all. As I said above, Top scorers in this test would be called for interview. Top 5 scorers are called for one post. If there are 5 posts, candidates called for the interview would be 25 to 29.

I must say that one has to score minimum 90 in order to get call for the interview .. and it seems very difficult for me , especially when it comes to face the urdu section where mostly authors name and dates are very difficult to answer correctly . This portion will create the difference of selection and rejection ... any how Best of luck ... !!
