Default unfair

there should be no such trend as of scoring and non scoring subjects.....marks should be awarded on the basis of student's thorough study..... a person who finds it difficult to secure 70 percent marks in FSC, can get an allocation just be selection scoring subjects.....only if he avoids failure in essay with a touch of luck... so civil service should be nourished with competitive people..... with the current trend its more about luck than hard-work which is unfair.....
i gave my first attempt in 2012 and failed precise.... interestingly, a friend of mine came to me just 2 days before the precise paper and i told him the basic pattern to attempt precise....he was pass in 2012 attempt and i was not able to pass precise with 1 year preparation...and friend of mine cleared precise with 2 days preparation........ if the system is perfect then either he is a genius or i am a stupid....

Dear waqar with all respect I would refute your logic of "topper isbetter than a second division holder" because all of us know our examination system, which are more or less based on rote learning.if divisions were to be the sole criteria than there's no need to hold even CSS or any aptitude test.some people get serious about their career once they enter in professional world.

Secondly, you said That you failed in précis.well to be honest I'm not surprised.though I'm not good at english either but your post clearly depicts your lack of command over the language perhaps it's not the exam which is flawed.lets not play blame game shall we
Good luck for your attempt

Does appearing in screening test only (not the CSS exam) means we have used 1 chance of appearing in CSS?

Regards.
For screening test, CSS attempt will not be counted, even you qualify the screening test and not appear in CSS exam...

Recent Update regarding Screening Test

Meeting of secretaries has been held on July 12 but minutes of meeting have not been released. No one knows what was discussed or decided there. As per my sources,Establishment Division is not in favor of conducting screening test this year and wants to cancel it so most probably it is going to be cancelled BUT IT IS NOT AUTHENTIC YET.It has not been decided up till now.
So just wait till Monday or Tuesday, situation will be more clear I.A or there are chances of notification from FPSC either it is going to be held or not.Continue your studies until further orders.I know it is inconvenient for CSS aspirants but you people have to go on.Remember in prayers.

Regards.

I feel your evaluation is biased and you, in your heart, have a element of hatered for those who are not 1st divionor throughout their academic carrier. If a topper does't quailify css but a 2nd division fsc does, there is no way left with us except to appriciate him.even if he is a crammer,we will have to praise his efforts he will have made while planning and managing subjects. He will have, obviously, given more time to scoring subjects and enough time to subjects that fetch low marks.
what would we say about a person who was not deserving, but he, with his sincere efforts, dedication, planning and management braught himself in the list of richly deserved ones.Unfortunatly we label him "lucky" one instead patting him.
I am not getting personal but i was not expecting such a pessimestic views from an educated person like you.moreover screening test will be lot easier for those who are habitual of cramming.they will simply buy books and will cramm thousands of msqs.i am afraid this test will be a real test of capabities of those who didnot know the art of cramming and just rely on their general abilities.

my dear.... why is it so that few subjects are scoring and few are not ???? everyone should be rewarded on the basis of his hard-work....i mean why history is not scoring and persian is scoring ???? so many aspirants get allocation just becz they select scoring subjects...and many hard-working aspirants fail due to poor subject selection.... every subject must be rewarded on the basis on quality material written by the students....

Default Latest Update

I have called one of my friends employed in Fpsc just now.according to him FPSC is opening online registration for screening test today as per instruction of Chairman. However establishment division will finally decide weather ST will be conducting this year or not.Uptill now Fpsc has not recieved any approvel/disapprovel in this regard from establishment division.
So we will have to wait further and its getting more embaressing now.
