... And the drama unfolds, SPSC ordered to prove legitimacy: C.C.E 2013
SPSC officials told to clarify exam irregularities
Karachi The Sindh High Court on Tuesday directed the Sindh Public Service Commission secretary and others to file comments over a petition that questions the competence of the commission’s chairman and members. The petitioners, Imtiaz Ali Shah and Sultan Ahmed, have sought screening tests for the provincial civil services examination, submitting that the SPSC had screened 18,000 candidates for over 200 provincial civil service posts including assistant commissioners, excise and taxation, labour and section officers. Providing details of alleged irregularities in the exams, they submitted that the commission had ‘illegally’ conducted screening tests for the written exams and that the passing mark initially set at 30 percent was later moved up to 50 percent. Questioning the commission’s competence, the petitioners’ counsel, Shafqat Hussain Masoomi, claimed that answers to 11 of the exam’s questions were incorrect. Furthermore, they said there was no provision for screening tests in the rules of the commission. The petitioners alleged that children from influential political families had been allowed to use unfair means during the test, which was held on December 28, 2014, and that a total of nine ‘grace marks’ were awarded to ‘favourites’ who had otherwise failed the exam. They requested the court to declare the screening tests illegal and restrain the commission from holding this year’s written combined competitive examinations, which commenced on Tuesday. The counsel submitted that an identical petition against the appointment of the SPSC chairman was also pending before the SHC which could be heard collectively. The SHC bench observed that a rejoinder affidavit needed to be filed by the SPSC on the petitions as a number of averments have been made by the commission in its comments. It further said that since the SPSC exams had commenced, the petitions may have an effect and directed the court office to tag all similar petitions for a hearing on April 16. The court clarified that if one or more of the petitions succeeded, or if the court deemed appropriate, the SPSC shall be bound to arrange separate written examination for within a specified timeframe. http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-New...irregularities 天来 |

^Exactly what I have been worried about; if the High Court decides against SPSC that would mean screening test will become null void and SPSC will be forced to retake written examination; this would be a challenge, considering the total number of aspirants is in tens of thousands. Further more, where will they get the funds to conduct exams?

After going through this thread and the comments of the court, it can be said without any doubt that court will order the SPSC in upcoming hearings to conduct the fresh exam for all the aspirants who could not appeared due to the screening test. They may or may not nullify the existing exam but they will surely order a parallel exam of same nature to be conducted in future .
Secondly if the chairman is also dislodged than things may further be deteriorated. If Court has admitted these petitions than they are definitely going to safeguard the rights of almost 20,000 aspirants who were short listed and affected by screening test. |

No cancellation no nothing could happen against the decree of ADI , ADDO and dozens of their SPOONS.
Every institute serves political will of the so called democracy, Sindh high court is no exception. PPP has to get it done by the end of this year and none dares withhold them from accomplishing it. Be it the judges or the commission. The ones you are looking forward for the dispensation of justice are all sold. Enjoy the drama queen , go home retire to bed have some wonderful dreams because for you this set up has nothing more than dreamy lollypops.

It's an exam dear, which has already commenced, not a drama. And I could not find a single man who used influence to passed the screening test.

And nine grace marks were given because only nine answer keys were incorrect. Therefore, the counsel for the petitioner shall come up with a new excuse. As It is not going to work.
