Syllabus and Standard for the Competitive Examination is as under:-



The written examination shall include compulsory and optional subjects.
Every candidate shall take all the compulsory subjects and three of the optional subjects, subject to the following restrictions:-

a. No more than two subjects shall be taken from each group.

b. Not more than two subjects shall be taken from among subjects at Sr. No. 10, 11, 18, 19 and 34 (Arabic Literature period I and II, Islamic History Period I & II Islamiat.).

A candidate shall answer the papers in English unless otherwise directed.

What does this sentence mean? "No more than two subjects shall be taken from each group"? Does it mean only one subject?

It means maximum of two subjects can be opted. I think its clear now

Another question is that,

Can you please tell me the era from which to which the part I of indian history is concerned?? and part-II aswell?

Same as in CSS or there are some changes?

Thanks God!!! at least this golden oppertunity came in my life time. I had missed previous CCE conducted by SPSC.
I am lecturer at Sindh Govt Edu and Lit deptt: (economics) I have Experience of 1 and half year.

@Mallah sir: what is the procedure to get permission from my dept? please advise also about my optionals , i am also opting them for CSS 2014

my optionals will be
Economics
Statistics
Islamiat.

Default MR ALI MALLAH help me in subject selection
AOA , My subjects in css were psychology , geography , sociology and journalism however i am totally confused which subjects should be opted in PCS ? ? ?
my preferences are
1)Ethics and psychology
2)Islamiat (urdu medium) Is urdu medium is there or not ? ? ?
3)geography
4)sociology
5)journalism
but the gravest problem is that all above subjects belong to GROUP E , Secondly are the above subjects scoring or not if scoring then which 2 subjects are highly scoring ? ? ?
kindly suggest me the remaing 1 subject which would also help me in css and furthermore keep in mind that i am not inclined towards history subjects . . .

kindly help me plz . . .
