i opted islamiat in Urdu in CSS 2012 and i got 73 marks.

Excuse me, Have you read rules and syllabus of Combined Competitive Exam by SPSC?

Read this:

3. A candidate shall answer the papers in English unless otherwise directed.

And please if you don't know do not misguide others.

3. The Question Papers in Urdu or other Pakistani regional languages (Punjabi, Sindhi, Pushto and Balochi), Persian and Arabic should be answered in the respective languages or in Urdu/English unless otherwise directed in the question paper. The question paper in Islamiat is to be answered in English or Urdu only. All other papers must be answered in English unless otherwise directed in the Question Paper. Contravention of this instruction will result in the cancellation of the papers and award of ZERO marks in the paper(s) concerned.

dear here we are talking about cce2013, announced by sindh public service commission. and i agreed with ali mallah that one can not attempt islamiat in urdu ...... stay blessed

Yes Ali Mallah is right in PCS one cannot attempt Islamiat paper in urdu, but in CSS it is allowed to give Islamiat paper in either of english and Urdu languages.
