Ahsan dear, you are absolutely right, what kind of approach the commission has decided to adopt..! it's completely unwise to take screening test at this stage as the candidates have paid Rs1000 just for C.C.E. Therefore, it is not just with the poor candidates who pay blood for their educational expenses and preparing for the C.C.E. at night.:angry:

Haseeb sir, what about negative marking in screening test and passing marks or marks ratio required to be nominated for C.C.E.2013?:con

Nobody knows its passing criteria. I think SPSC would set it after conducting the screening test :laughing

Test Venue!!

How is this possible that there is only one venue for screening test i.e. Hyderabad? How are they going to manage everything and how is it possible for candidates from other cities of Sindh to be there.

That is why they are holding screening test in two days. This will divide number of the candidates in two parts.

Same thing they did in the screening test of ASI(Police), many schools will be the exam center for screening center for CCE13... I hope that now at this time they will manage their performance to the level of perfection while conducting test. Because, in ASI test, I saw many people were using mobile phones and even they were talking to each and other. As our invegilator was a school teach (I think), he did not say any thing to candidates, I was seeing the whole scenario that this is the credibility of the spsc's test conduction. Any how, I passed the screening test of ASI. But I expect that now spsc will conduct this coming test as per her cradibility. Otherwise, it would again be unfair to those who have been burning oil at mid nights for getting through in the tests...

Any how, I wish you all the friends very best of luck.

SPSC received about 23,400 applications for C.C.E and as we know that when number of applications crossed 15,000, even FPSC came with the option of screening test as they can't handle such number of applications. Hence, the decision of the SPSC is justified but they announced it a bit late that puts many applicants in trouble.

There are 99% chances for the negative marking in the screening test as we have witnessed negative marking in ASI screening test. The test for PCS will be like similar fashion but a bit tougher in terms of question level.
No one can tell the passing criteria at this stage, may be initially they set 50% as minimum criteria to pass the test and to be considered for next step. Even then final selection will be based on the number of candidates obtaining more than 50%. So, instead of thinking bout of cut-off score (which seems useless) aspirants should focus on studies as the passing criteria may fluctuate based on performance of the candidates. You should aim higher like to score 80% or even more than that.

If SPSC is going to conduct screening test in 2 days means the Q.Papers will surely be different, one paper may contain difficult Qs than the other, so we can't say it a fair chance to all applicants. So, here in screening test surely luck has to play key role. If they divide candidates in such a way that rural candidates are examined one day and urban on the other day then all the applicants in similar category will get the same paper. This division will make sense as the seats for rural and urban are clearly defined.

No offence bro, I don't agree. First, higher the number of applications, higher the application-fee-revenue, SPSC could finance more recourses to deal with such a high number of applications. Secondly, FPSC's announcement was timely and wise. Had FPCS's idea been materialized, it would have given sufficient time for its preparation plus, unlike SPSC's case, the failures would not have to bear the fees of CE-14 (Rs.2200).

One paper on both days is impossible. Yes, to give candidates a fair chance, they can examine all the canidates at once.

23500 applications mean Rs.23,500,000/- :P
if screening test is that much necessary , SPSC should atleast hold it simultaneously at Hyd, Khi and Sukkur on the same date, giving fair chance to all the candidates. the two day test will result in a lot of concerns/objections. v vl hear ppl saying the test of date was difficult than the other one.
