Sindhi General was tougher than Sindhi literature. Many may fail in Sindhi General Paper.

Probably that book is same with green cover. I had read that book while preparing Sindhi in CSS. But the demand of question was another thing. Can you please do let me know what actually the question was? How did you attempt it, if you could tell us the gist point, would be so kind of you.

I feel most of the candidates will pass but wont make it in aggregate. This time questions were trickery but not straight like that of previous year. |

Agreed with Wonderworld,,, reaching aggregate will be an uphill task this time... the pattern of no choice in Sindhi general, twisted questions of GK, unexpected MCQS in Journalism and questions of sociology and Sindhi literature are really going to cost us an arm and leg in making an aggregate, save alone expecting 550+ score as most of the strong aspirants had earlier dreamed of... let's see... but I must appreciate that SPSC has finally given up its traditional 'token question' approach while designing papers... CCE 2013 has surely proved itself to be an eye opener for those aspiring to appear in CCE 2017.....

Shaikh Ayaz
Well there is also an another thought that prevails in Sindh. Allama I I Qazi compared the poetry of Shah Latif with those of other world famous poets like Shakespeare, Goethe, Milton etc and concluded that Shah is the greatest poet of all times. In that pattern, if we compare poetry of Shaikh Ayaz, then it is obvious that all poetry of Shaikh Ayaz can not be sung while poetry of Sachal can be sung. As you mentioned that Sachal's poetry has Siraiki influence. But the poetry of Sachal in Sindhi is more than enough to compare with leave other poetry of him which is in Urdu, Siraki, Hindi, Persian etc. Even Ustad Bukhari's poetry has more music than that of Shaikh Ayaz. Last but not the least, the personality of Ayaz varies from beginning to end. He was a nationalist poet and in his later stage of life he appeared to criticize nationalism and advocated prevalent religious thought. The elements of poetry includes philosophy, thought, formation, rhyme etc. I also once read once that Shaikh Ayaz is also called second to Faiz Ahmed Faiz and that single argument is enough to counter that how Faiz can be equal to Shah Latif if we follow I I Kazi standards.

1.If music is only creteria to prove greatness of poet in a particular language then ur argument dies itself. The part of SACHAL'S poetry being sung is his famous KAAFI.Sachal's most of the kaafis are in siraiki. For example; SUNR BAAT BIREH DI KEHY,AIHII AJAB JAIHII NANGRHAA NIMAANI DAA etc. i wonder what make u think that ayaaz's poetry is less likely to be sung. Bro,ghazal, waai, geet are popularly sung by sindhi singers nd ayaaz is king of ghazal nd waai. His poetry is sung by many great singers of sindh. 2. u say that sachal's poetry composed in sindhi is greater in quantity than that of Ayaaz. You must be kidding or u havnt seen origional books of these two.AYAAZ has more than 30 books of poetry to his credit while we have a single SACHAL JO RISAALO compiled by Mirzaa ALI QULI...i cant understand how such extensive work of ayaaz is less than sachal,s limited work in sindhi.. 3.Very sad to know that u r trying to enchain a poet in nationalistic boundaries who said ''MUNHJO KOI DAIS NA AAA,MUNHJO DAIS JEHAAN MUNHJO KOI NAA'UN NA AA,AAON AAHYAAN INSAAN'' How can u limit him to a narrow ideology of nationalism when is third and fourth books were in urdu. After his initial two books 'Bhanwar bhari aakaas' nd 'kulhy paatam keenro' his urdu poetry books 'boye gul, naala e dil' nd 'neel kanth nd neem k patty' were published. No doubt ,there was a phase in ayaaz's life in which he inclined towards nationalistic thought but that had an unfortunate historical reality nd injustice behind it.It was the period of ONE-UNIT nd QOUMI BOLI TEHREEK. Not only ayaaz but all poets, writers nd intellectuals of sindhi wrote extensively against those atrocities.Had Latif and Schal been alive in that period they must have protested against such injustice nd atrocities done with sindh and its inhabitants.Infact, they have done this in their respective era.in this context how can u exclude sachal from nationalistic ambit when he writes selflessly for indiginious.for example he writes for shah anayat, bilawal nd other as; 'SARMAD khay dey latt kuhaayaee, ghaany me BILAAWAL peerhaayae INAYATT manjh maidaan maarayaee Aashiq tho aazmaeeen tuuun' so was not he a nationalistic... Tell me a single poet in the world who didnt erite about his own land nd native people. 4.you ramble to prove ayaaz a street poet who started as a nationalist nd ended as a religious creature. Perhaps u havnt gone through his single book.He was a poet of universal nd abstract thoughts. He didnt miss any prevalant thought of his time .His poetry included philosophical, political, socialist, humanist thoughts.HE wrote on all global issues of his time,he wrote for congo, vietnam, halocaust of jews in germany nd so on. 5.As for as comparison of Ayaaz with Faiz is concerned.thats in context of progressive .i.e Taraqii pasand poetry. ayaaz is considered next to faiz in taraqi pasand poetry. 6.A REQUEST; As u mentioned in ur post that sachal's poetry was in sinfhi, urdu, siraiki, hindii etc , I would appreciate if u share a single verse of sachal composed in hindii nd etc languages.i have read sachal;s poetry in four languages;sindhi, urdu, persian nd siraiki but couldnt find in other languages.

Another thing,
Alaama QAAZI'S standards were decades-old and for centuries-old poetry. Now, other things do count.Even the standards of music hhave changed.
