yes
SMS may be sent to HST candidates only. NTS will sent the sms to JST & PST candidates (for correction in their queries) after uploading the list at nts site.

In my opinion there will be only one section different for science and general categories, rest of the test will be same. This has been practised in previous tests by education department. So you people can specifically prepare particular section. Rest of the sections will be same for all and need to be well prepared in order to perform well. Wish you all best of luck.

Assala-malikum aspirants for PST, JST n HST!

I had appeared in the test for PST in 2009, conducted by Sindh University. I got 79 marks out of 100 but was not selected due to the lack of vacancies in my UC.

So my suggestions for you to prepare are:

-Consult authenticated General knowledge book.
-Solve the portions of Everyday Science, Islamiyat, Pakistan Affairs, English and geography.

The paper pattern is like this

100 MCQS

-30 MCQS (English)
-20 McQS (General Science)
-20 MCQS (Gk encompasses Pak Affairs, Islamiat etc)
-20 MCQS (Mathematics)
-10 MCQS (Pedagogy The Science of Teaching)

Consult
Encyclopedia of General Knowledge by Adeel Niaz (Jhangir Success Series)

can ali bhai help me?
my name was in list but district of domicile was not mentioned in the list . with great difficulty i got pass word fm nts, but cud nt succeed to correct it .
will it be a problem for me? i have written it in my form.
one thing more is there any source available on net for preparation of this test.
there is no seat available in my uc so all my effort will be vain?

Dear why didn't you tried earlier? Any way do not worry still there is way, but you need to take efforts immediately .
NTS will set up help desks in the districts from 14-12-2012 till test day, its better to consult them. Go and visit them with all the relevant documents.
How you can say that your UC does not have any vacancy?
HST and JST vacancies are not filled on the basis of UC, so do not worry at all, only PSTs will be appointed UC-wise.

well JST provisional list is not uploaded till this time however they mention 15 december to upload the list .

I have seen my name on list for jst. Unfortunatily, I dont have mobile as well the sim which I had given in my form. So I am unable to get my sms. I am afraid of it. Without it, how can I get my silp for exam. Please help me out regarding this? I am waiting for your guidance....

Will they send us our silps or we sms's are our silps? I am little bit confused please help me out?

Dear Sir Ali Mallah!

I had applied for the post of JST and my name is mentioned in the list for JST-General while my uncle had also submitted for the JST and his name has been mentioned for JST-Science.

So what is the difference between JST (General and Science) and will there be any difference between the papers or should i prepare for Science or not?
