I came to know that owing to lectureship exam supposed to be held on 31st Jan 2011 the result would be sent late. All concerned members will go for vigilance to their respective centers so won't be able to compile and send result. It is expected that the result will be sent to S&GA dept by mid of Feb. God knows when the offer letters will be issued and where will training be held. Some of my friends told me that half course will be held either in Islamabad and half will be abroad. I can't say about the veracity of this statement:cool:. Please be in contact with me through my given email address in my profile, however I mention it here: ***********@yahoo.com |
the previos batch was sent to bangladesh for abt one month. before that other batches have also been to other countires...

according to a source that the list of candidates has been sent to S&GAD.

The law and order situation is worse in Peshawar. Sindh Govt must not send its officers to Peshawar for training. Tandojam will be great.

I think Islamabad Civil Services Academy will be fine instead of Tandojam. I have come to know that DDOs (rev) are also sent abraod for training. As Muhammad Hussain has mentioned in his post that last batch was sent to Bangladesh and previous batches had also been sent to different countries. As the result took unprecedented delay so how can one expect that within one month they will issue offer letter. Can anyone tell that after receiving offer letter when will training begin? How long is the training period? After completing training, when postal orders are issued? My cousin has passed this exam and placed in DDO (rev) and he has urban domicile, will he be posted in urban areas or in rural areas? Are DDO(rev) get residence during training or after training? I have heard that PCS pass DDOs are not given official residence, is it true? What will be the salary of DDO (Rev)?:D |
Congratulations to all candidates who cleared PCS.
is there any one who can guide me regarding PCS . |

ONE OF THE MEMBER ASKED.
What will be the salary of DDO (Rev)? HERE IS THE LITTLE EFFORT TO REPLY: 1) Offer letters will be followed by appointment letters and after it the training shall start. 2) After completing training, POSTAL not , but POSTING orders shall be issued and it is in shorter period after the completion of training. 3) DDOs are employee of Sindh Government and may be posted anywhere throughout Sindh no discrimination on the basis of Urban and rural. 4) The Training shall be spreading over 0ne year, six months of academy and 6 months of UT ship , the field training. In Academy residence may be provided but not in UT ship. 5) PCS officers are also provided with official residence. 6) The scale of DDO is 17 so the prescribed pay of 17 grade shall be provided. Thanks. |
Inquiry
I have visited SPSC office in karachi where I was told that they haven't issued any list to S&GA, it is likely that the list will be sent after mid of Feb 2011. But here on this forum a member was told by the same office that they have issued the list to S&GA. Does anyone else know about the list to be sent.
Thanks, |
@ Nasar Abbasi
Congrats on your success! Please would share your preparation strategy for PCS? From where did you prepare General Knowledge and Urdu General? What were your optionals and who much time you dedicated to your studies for PCS-2008 |
Thanks for wishes. as far as my preparation strategy is concerned I call it "study in scientific way". I have never been to any CSS or PCS academy nor I have studied entire day. I use to study four to five hours for almost two months. but I cannot say it a regular study because I had to do a full time job and look after my family also.
what to study and how to study is very important but "what not to study" is even more important. My optional were History of Europe, International Relations and Sindhi. Except Sindhi, I had studied these subjects during my masters in IR from KU, besides that I used some communication skills in "my way" to answer the papers. For general knowledge, besides a GK book, I will recommend to read one good English newspaper daily. there are so many things I cannot share on this page, owing to time and space, however, whenever I find time, I will share my experience. take care and best of luck. |

The list of the candidates ( recommended for the post of DDO) posted by me has originally been worked upon and prepared by Mr. Nasar Abbasi and i have only added one missing name to it and have tried to set it so anyone finding it useful must thank Mr. Nasar and acknowledge his efforts. |
I congratulate all qualifiers on their success. Besides this, I would like to know how many candidates from Urban and Rural are not willing to join in the advertised positions.
I will be thankful to anyone who could list down the names here. Thanks and regards. |
Mr. Abdul Qudus Shaikh Roll no. 107 Merit no. 8 (R) told me that he will not join as he is already under training at CSA lahore. he has been selected as AC customs.
Note: this information is based on my conversation with him, however, it is the sole right of the selected candidate to join or not and he is the only authority to finally decide about it. |
@ Nasar
Buddy you are right.. being in CSA i am in contact with everyone here and its true that Qudoos aint joining it..
|
@Nasar Abbasi,
First I congratulate you on your brilliant success. Secondly, how is the post of DDO (r), I mean on which groups of CSS candidates prefer DDO (r)? |
Mr. Abdul Qudus Shaikh Roll no. 107 Merit no. 8 (R) told me that he will not join as he is already under training at CSA lahore. he has been selected as AC customs.

In addition to this candidate, can you kindly tell me the names of other candidates, especially from Urban, who are not joining for the advertised positions? I will be thankful to you. Kind regards. |
@ Binyami...
candidates of CSS prefer to be PSP, DMG, FSP and in most cases customs is also very charming for them. but those candidates who fall in Information, , Railways, Postal, they definitely like to DDO (R) rather than in this group. (In current PCS several seniors of information group have succeeded and they will leave their 18 grade to join as DDO). In most of cases candidates of PAAS, MLCG, CTG, and Income tax also prefer to join as DDO (R), however sometimes the nature and priorities of a candidate also decide which way to go. But one thing is sure. DDO Revenue is a DMG group and currently second highest in terms of choice of the candidates, first is Police service. Note: this is my personal view so any one can differ with my point of view. |
