The story told above is in personal in nature. let me clear that selection for MTO is purely on merit in both organization except few exception. I happened to be MTO of NBP and merit was hallmark of our selection.you therefore better to encourage others and put your grievances aside.

nothing in PAKISTAN is on 100% merit

“All is well””
Good to hear from Razzi. I think it is need to openly discuss on this issues. These MTO’s seats are on merits or on safaris basis. One thing should keep in mind the persons who are selected finally as MTO will never say that here some thing is wrong and those who are not selected will never say that there is all thing right in selection process.
The person who have done and have a degree of Master with 3 cgpa,I don’t think so that he is not able to solve the numerical question that come from metric level, current general knowledge and little bittle vocabulary. Here is only need some tactics and luck to pass the test. Why luck because in these thousands candidates if you got 70 to 80% marks but still you r not on merit, it means that others have got more than 80% marks. It doesn’t mean that you are incompetent and you can't sit along with them. It’s all about the test. Where interview is concerned it shows only your personality and integrity nothing else. Reference and money in our banking sectors??? Every one knows what is happening? I don’t want to go behind this story. We have a policy “All is well”” But I think for pure merit IBP should play a part by itself, as IBP take responsibility for the test then they must complete all recruitment process by own self and must show marks as well in their web.

I believe nobody hires all their employees on merit, or all of them on sifarish or reference.
few are sifarishi and few on merit. but its also a fact that if we fail to get into the organization we say that they hire 100% on sifarish. and if we get into it then for us it is 100% merit. Personal biasness all along!!!

There is not 100% merit anywhere. Even in FPSC and PPSC, there is room for sifarshis however, these are not more than 5%. This was admiital of a former chairman of PPSC, who happens to be one of most famous CSP's of Pakistan, who currently teaches Public Policy to students of MPhil Economics in a renowned Public sector University of Lahore.
