I does not want to demotivate the peoples. I just want to share the real recruitment process of the bank. if one does not get shortlisted then he /she doesnot lose the hope.
secondly through this comment I want that any official of the concerned bank should know these flaws in their selection process and improve it , so that a intelligent peoples should head the company and make it one of the leading banks of the country.

At the venue the whole north region candidates were called to Islamabad. He got the following from the invigilator at the time of concerned test at Islamabad.
1- There are only 25-28 overall seats in the bank for every program.
2- The HR department mostly shortlist MBAs but this not applicable to internal candidates.
3- The bank prefers their internal candidates even they are less in merit from external candidates.
4- He said that only 4-5 candidates were appeared in test out of shortlisted more than 82 candidates from Rawalpindi/Islamabad cities, it was because of NTS recruitment test of renowned company on the same time. Mostly I the test candidates were from Peshawar.
5- My cousin says that he was confirmed of more than 75% marks.
6- The invigilator said that according to company policy the local candidate is preferred if it secured 50% marks in test.
7- My cousin was not called for interview although there were only 5 candidates in test and there were three seats in Islamabad and two in Rawalpindi according to invigilator.
8- My cousin also contacted other two candidates of the test but they were also not called for interview.
9- After two months when contacted HR department, He got reply that all the vacancies are filled up.

Here the question arises that how bank filled up the vacancy even they have not called these candidates for interview from Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The above scenario arises many question regarding the Recruitment Process of Bank AlHabib. The bank should atleast disclose their selection process in advertisement. So candidates please consider these facts in your mind

Brother.Dont create hopelessness among valued forum memebers, It may be case with your cousin but not the same everywhere, we should know our such remarks make young/fresh people frustrated. I also had taken the very test you are talking about, everywhere situation may not be the same,
My experience says from test day till end, all the bank personnel behaved decently they all were friendly, during that process we made a lot of fone calls to HR karachi and believe me every time we got good responce. well
I was told that i could not qualify the test for mto but they offered me OG-II and my friend also got interview call for OG_II at nawabshab sindh interior head office. we were three friends one from khairpur umar, 2nd from sukkur i from larkana, my both the friends quailifed interview after about a month they got the job orders. i could not get.its an other thing. but i am not accusing the Bank for anything.. once more my experience is that recruitment process at the bank is transparent..
be positive.. @all fresh people who have applied.. I would say get well prepared focus on maths, percentage/ average/ratio/proportion problems and english language. reading comprehension etc etc, for GK i solved 100% and english is little bit difficult. so there is no time left. one of my friend working in the bank told me that training for those who will be selected/ successful candidates will start in November so we can guess short listing will take about a month and test is expected very soon.

Dear Sir,
My shared information was only to bring the improvement in the recruitment process. I my self being in banking industry know the little about the recruitment operations of Bank AlHabib. If we does not highlight the flaws in the system then how one will know his weakness and improve its system of the organization. So my purpose is to convey the weakness to the Concerned official of the Bank AlHabib.
“Abb Nai Bolo gy, Tu Phir Kab?”
Secondly all the information that is quoted in my comment in given in reference of the concerned bank Staff member. He said about the preference of internal members despite of low merit that is open unfair with the external candidates. There is already very low seats for MTO program then if you prefer your own employees in it, then how many external candidates will be admitted. And if the candidates were not atleast for the concerned area then it will rise the doubts over the recruitment. Atleast they should be informed by the status about their test through email as mostly banks does.
If you observe that most of the Top 5 Banks of the pakistan conduct their test through neutral body or they submit their Recruitment procedures and policy for the auditing. They also disclose all the phases of selection process in the add.
So atleast we should rise the concern for the improvement (Voice of Justice). At-last I want to say to all applicants be positive, may this time this above mentioned scenario will be not repeated again especially in North Region……

Dear brother for your kind information let me GUIDE you that this is not right place/forum for letting the officials of bank AL Habib know about their recruitment policy & process. If anyone wants to complain he or she should do it at a right place where the Bank officials could defend themselves against such allegations/their system flaws whatsoever as you have been indicating, i am not defending the Bank, it may or may not have fair recruitment policies, i have nothing to do with it. i am just sharing my own observations about the bank because i also have experienced recruitment process. one more there are many banks in Pakistan they even do not short list candidates having degrees from public universities. don't you know? but BAHL shortlist the promising candidates even from public universities.

I just want to encourage applicants especially fresh candidates to work hard.

well thank you for your above quoted green-marked lines.

I think every organization gives first preference to its employees that's what BAHL does there are some conditions like age and bank joining period etc etc remaining under which employees can apply. well you agree or disagree with me but i my opinion now discussions should be started for test preparations.

dear brothers I do agree with both of your points, and I reckon one should apply whatever the criteria or condition exist inside the organization. A graduate or job seeking person should always make himself inside the battle ground because without being there nobody can analyze or experience the actual difficulties and also his/her own aptitude is well....

And @ zaheer qadri lets start the discussion for test preparation
as you have attempted the last test kindly guide us about the subjects and their ratio in the test

Thanks to Zaheer and Muhammad Fahad for valuable comments! I strongly encourage to apply for the position because if any good-spirit man will be not inducted then how this problem will be solve. My purpose is to highlight the problems in-front of banker of BAHL to get informed about it. Because I personally know that mostly the Top management does not know about the niche activities of their departments because these employees do these very carefully. I am also banker which visiting this website often and also know many other bankers those visit this forum regularly. I hope that this problem will never repeat never again. Also anyone who will be selected may resolve these issues for the betterment. So that next time none of external candidates of any region doesn’t overwhelmed by any internal employee of the bank on merit.
One more thing brother if you look top 3 banks recruitment policy for MTO it mostly include following.
1- Open add
2- Complete phases are disclosed,
3- Conduct test by neutral body or at-least administered by external auditor.
4- Both internal and external candidates are considered same for MTO because this position does not require any experience.
5- They also shortlist peoples from public university falling in the criteria.
6- The candidate is informed about the result of test through email or any other website (NTS) whether he/she qualified?
Again I want to say that everyone applicant to be positive and believe on GOD Justice.

Good luck..you should practice maths especially percentage/ series percetage & ratio/proportion problems., and practice english comprehension, last last they gave toughest passage with unusual scientific vocabulary so try to learn about how to cope with it. and last time essay was about energy crisis. be smart in essay prepare top 10 burning issues. one or two page essay. for Gk consult caravan last time i solved 100% gk mcsq all were from caravan aptitude book. for business and economics do consult b.com book intro. to business and b.com principles of economics just revise very basics of economics.
anything else ? feel free to contact me via email.
Good luck..

The comprehension could be of the SAT type but was that the only component of the "English" section? no synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction/completion? and in the GK section, were current affairs part of it or just the general knowledge q's(currencies, capitals, deserts, mountain peaks)
