I have an opportunity of BDO job at meezan bank and I have following queries?
How much is the job security for BDO at meezan?
What are the growth prospects for BDO at meezan bank?
How much is the travelling required in job?Can one manage the job easily by travelling in buses as I don't drive bike?This is the main problem that is bothering me.

How to Apply for BDO at Meezan Bank?

For BDO job security is very low BDO is a less secure job in all banks because BDO is a target based job the main responsibility of bdo is to bring deposit and new accounts to the bank Although |I do not know exactly About mezan bank bdo career growth but if you are able to meet the target deadlines well in time
then growth is better because it will lead you directly to the branch manager but it will takes time approximately 4 to 5 years normally bdo are hired as on the basis of third party a purely contract job so that why it is risky if you are not able to meet the target then the will not permanent you or may be they remove you from your position .On the other hand if you are permanent then job security is high but career growth is very slow and same case with salary.Travelling is not much required you can manage it in public transport.

Dear. Bdo is the first step of your success in banking. I was bdo back in2006 and now manager operations in pakistan leading bank

The problem is that I am a person with low vision since birth.I have been declared fit in Medical as this is not disease but lifelong medical condition.
I have a reasonable job but there is no growth.

If I switch to BDO job then the main problem is that I don't drive because of distant low vision so I will have to travel in time consuming public transport to meet tough targets.Isn't it difficult to meet tagets deadline in karachi?

I have heard that if you don't bring target deposits then you are fired with in no time and there is no tolerance.Is it really so?

I read 12 font size of MS Word from 1 feet.Though the management is aware of the fact before offering me the job.But with such low near vision,getting promotion to manager level even after meeting target isn't difficult?

I have been offered the same job in the same bank. Should I join it? I do not like to travel and have no marketing guts neither have prior experience of marketing and am a fresh MBA. However, the bank is located at a business hub and I have links with big businessmen as well as with large organization who collectively assured me that they can arrange RS. 100 million deposit for me. Please seniors bankers give your opinion.
P.S: Banks gives a specific incentive above the target. Is taking this incentive Halal according to Islamic point of view?

Dear. Trust me meezan bank is one of the first islamic bank in pakistan having more than 200 branches. dnt think about your designation even if you r a bdo. Today every secnd bank offer u job if you have experience even in marketing. The key is invlove yourself also in operations like account opening clearing remittance everything in operations. When you are capable your senior will change your designation but remebr you have to wait for that moment. You with your operation experience and every bank will offer you job later . I have done BIT but still i m serving in pakitan top bank as manager oprations. Plz dear go ahead

First of all Meezan bank's branches are more than 320.
Secondly it's not long lasting job as targets are accumulative as the months passes it's become impossble to achieve targets and automatically they will make you reign.

l know all this as i work in Meezan Bank since last two years. Rest is your decision
