They said that since there is no Telecom Engineering(B.E) mentioned in the Ad of SBOTS, so you are ineligible. And they are quite right, its not mentioned! So I was at wrong place I guess!

I think you would have scored more than 80.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the people who have qualified for SBOTS-18th Batch GD and Interview. Information related to what can be done to clear GD and Interview are given in the thread of Sbots-16 (So consult that). Any questions please ask on the same thread of SBOTs-16.

Moreover, with so much of graduates clearing MBA/ACCA/Masters in other fields one should really be thankful to ALLAH Subhan o Tallah for providing an opportunity to be selected at the only credible Government Sector Org and the Only Central Bank of the country. Pessimistic people will always point towards the fees for the test; the inconvenience of travelling and etc, but to the genuine people who really know the importance of being employed at the right place will ignore all and would carry on with their targets.

So, all of you selected for GD and Interview Best of Luck.

But for YPIP only masters with 60% marks is required. So there would be no issue at all. Only just pray that people with 69 are given the chance.

Dear all,

I would like to clarify one thing to all of you, SBP takes in people who have at least 65% marks in each section of the test. Even if someone scores 80+ but does not score more than 65% marks in any section of the test. He/She is not called for GD and Interview.

No I have 76 marks

This may be the reason they didn't issue me the letter yet. Let me confirm. If it is, I would not be sad, as it may take me me out from 'confusion' that I am currently 'in'. Join or not to join. But I want to add a thing, that Telecom is a combination of Electrical and Networking(Network programming, Computer Network, Micro Processors, Different Computer languages etc) . I don't know what 'definition' SBP has set for 'IT'. Brother D.O.S, don't worry, you are too intelligent, Allah has set and chosen something way better than SBP job and 'staying life time at Karachi'. All the best and stay on the forum, I request.
