Dear Fuzzy
Take it easy bro.
I am also NOT in the selected candidates list,Even though like you , I have a good education background too ( MBA_ NUST, Certified Financial Analyst CFA (PAK), CFA ( U.S) Level 1 Candidate, BBA ( Gold Medalist , NTS score 80+).
Remember Allah loves human more than a mother love her child, so wahi hota hay jo hamaray liye behtar hota hay. but hamrayy soch limited hay so we got upset on short term failures..
..let us congratz All those who are selected .

i scored 84 in the nts test, my interview and written communication test went extremely well, i am domiciled in punjab and yet i was not selected which is pretty shocking for me... they would not even divulge any information about the selection process or the field where i came short.. i find this really strange

@fuzzy
I am not first engineer to be selected in SBP BSC.last year there were two engineers in YPIP 2nd batch. There were also people from natural sciences,so you should not criticize selection criteria of SBP BSC because they have hired one engineer in YPIP 3rd.Moreover,there are 90% chances that i will not join SBP BSC as I have also got appointment letter of forensic scientist in punjab forensic science agency last week. So,please criticizing SBP BSC and focus on your studies.

Then you are over qualified for this Job and they have thought that this man will not stay with us for very long.
No hard feelings but as far as State Bank is concerned i am 100% sure that they select their HR (specially OG-1 and OG-2) on pure merit basis. Best wishes Brother

Everyone did well in interview and every one has the calibre to write extra ordinary good in written test. Rest of merit is based on nts marks. Hence its crystal clear that no rule..no formula..

Its sbp BSC man..
I believe if any merit based selection is made that is done in sbp.. But in BSC.. This is game of reference ..sorry for hurting the feelings of those who are not on-merit selectees.
With due respect i have to mention that i know a junior officer Batch-1 candidates who secured 78 marks in NTS test and also performed good in communication. His interview was also good but he is not selected. So i cannot agree to you dear.

Well I'm also very confused what SBP (BSC) was looking for. I scored 83 in NTS test. Scored 80% & + through out my academic career. Have distinction in both my MBA & BBA with finance major. Passed all the three stages of IBP junior associateship in first attempt. Written communication test & interview also go well. And still not selected

All astonishing. well, its hard to coment that from ehich list the candidates are selected if they have not selected the people of 82, 83, 84 slot. I think the queation here is that who are selected. I would also like to suggest that despite buning calories here, it is good to write a letter to governer SBP with CC to Finance minister and P.M, so that they come to know that masses now are with out tongue.

I am with you on this.. Let's write a combined application!! It doesnt mean that I am suggesting to go against SBP-BSC or the selected candidates rather I just want to know the basis of merit. The list of selected candidates must be made public by SBP-BSC to ensure the transparency.

Default Conclusion

Having read all the post selection posts, I can conclude that there may be something fishy about the selection criteria, a NUST graduate with CFA degree and USA CFA level 1, and others with IBP certification and 80+ nts marks not selected and persons with irrelevant qualifications got selected.
I have done MBA and engineers etc are occupying our posts, they have their own field, they shouldn't stand in our way.... SBP should clearly upload the selection criteria or otherwise we are gonna suspect it....

And how we'll do it?? I mean either we should write separate letters on our own to these concerned authorities or a combined letter should be written??
