it clearly states that Qualification criteria is 65 Aggregate.
How come candidate below 65 are Qualified. I dont understand the system. 26/29/13 =68 is called un-qualified. |

May be there is a confusion regarding the aggregate percentage. (Either 60% or 65% NTS will surely remove the discrepancy). Faz, so unfortunate that you were short of just 2 marks in the last section. Otherwise, the 50% criteria of individual sections would have been easily met by you. Nevertheless, never lose hope. At least, now you hold an experience of test and in th next attempts you can mark your way to the top by acing this section.

I dedicated a lot of time to mathematics. Mathematics has always been a favourite subject. You can prepare this portion from any book of GAT. I took the Dogar Sons one, the book covers almost every topic that is asked. However, you don't have to go through the geometry portion. NTS does not include geometry in these sections. If LCM, HCF, percentages , word problems related to algebra are well practised, one can be sure to have 90 percent marks in Mathematics section. For coding processes, it is advised that these sums are solved on the rough sheet. You can easily substitute the letters or digits given.
For English, I took Bank officers' guide. There is also a book by Dogar Sons for YPIP OG 2. These two are more than enough. English is of 40 marks, so you must be dedicating 45 minutes to this section. However, I took an hour to solve the English portion. Make sure that you encircle the correct option of the related question. For instance, If the answer to question no. 1 is a, the circle labelled "a" for question 1 should be fulfilled. I didn't find any sentences relation topic in the books. However, some material is available online, and that would suffice. If a question bothers you, leave it aside, and after you're done with the paper, you can donate your time to the left overs. For GK, I didn't study any book. Just listen to news headlines, and try to read headlines of any authentic English newspaper, I read DAWN. However, I felt that one should go through the Economic Survey, Ministry of Finance and Trade websites for better grip. As far as this portion was concerned, it was all hit and trial. I do not have any accounting or banking background. I am a graduate in Economics, and frankly speaking there were hardly 2 or 3 questions related to the subject. Rest of them, were from other sources. The people here having background in banking or accounting can guide you better. Wish you all the best. I humbly request the members to guide us about interview, the questions asked and the topics to study. As far as I have known, NTS does not send result cards at postal addresses. One has to get the print out of the result and then mail it to them. Does anyone have an idea? |

- Number of candidates who were able to score 70+ marks. If the answer is many, then scoring 70+ wouldn't set you or anyone else apart. However, if not many people could score that high, then that's certainly an advantage for you but I advise you to not rely on this too much. - Previous academic qualification (meaning if you meet the minimum criteria set by SBP/BSC in ad) - Interview performance You must remember that in previous batches (SBOTS, YPIP, OTP), some candidates who scored handsomely weren't selected, since high score is NOT the only criteria. One still has to prove his mettle in interviews. Make best preparations for your interviews (likely to be held in February). The panel interview will be a general one. As this is an entry-level and generalist position, you're not expected to hold intricate/detailed knowledge about workings of the bank. Still, learn all you can about the SBP and BSC, their operations, number of field offices, etc. And if you're a recent graduate, you need to be quite knowledgeable about courses you read in last qualification. I hope it helped you. Best of luck to all of you. |
