As revised syllabi of CSS have created chaos for those aspirants who had prepared well the old syllabi and consumed one or two attempts, i want to know your valuable opinions regarding CE-2016. Is it wise to appear in CE-2016 with just 4 months in hand especially for those who have availed their two attempts? What changes are you expecting in CE-2017?

If you have an attempt left and you can wait keeping in view your circumstances including career, domestic support etc then it is better to skip this year. The major changes were re-grouping of subjects, addition of new courses and syllabus addition or subtraction. I guess no major changes like these would happen for CE-2017. And you will also come to know about paper pattern of new subjects also. So do not waste your attempt. Work hard and use the substantial time for preparation. Good Luck!

Thanks alot. The matter of confusion is also cluster based exams. Like if a student of accounting wont appear this time then in 2017 he/she will have to select PAAS only keeping in view the subjects. If aspirant wants PAS then he has to prepare all the new subjects specified for that group from the begining. I know nothing such news is official yet. Please share your views regarding this matter.

I would say even then wait for the next attempt. You will come to know about paper pattern. And Surely FPSC will make that news official ( if it had to) before 7 to 8 months. So you can prepare your compulsory at your best in the meantime and you will have ample time remaining for optional. You can cover that thing. My point is still same if you have time and you can wait then do not go for this attempt. The main thing is paper pattern not preparing a new subject. Once you will be over with compulsory you can easily prepare optional in 6 to 7 month. Have faith in your abilities and in Allah and just decide once. A famous saying is that when you decide for something , all the universe conspires and help you in achieving that thing if that will be in your good fate. Buck up and good luck. But do consider your personal circumstances before making any decision. That is what matters a lot.
