Majority of students come from B. COM. or B. A. background who are actually poor and lack resources, I do not know what FPSC is up to; some "expert" appointed by the government who takes home a great salary has suggested Planning Commission that 16 years of education be recommended for civil service, which is his peeking into Indian or Western system and nothing else. We are proud of being a copycat, what we will not copy Indian system in is their strictness in terms of taxation matters or state-writ. At least, this education requirement thing should be deferred to CSS 2018, if not wiped out utterly.

M.A is not that difficult. No matter, how poor you are financially. It is just an excuse, and a really bad one.
I have never been to college ever.(Govt colleges are awful, and private ones don't care about arts subjects, University is expensive) And I am hoping to appear in CE-16 and preparing for Masters in political science too. I did F.A, B.A everything on my own, without any tutors and with good grades.
If you are willing then you can make it happen.

Stop complaining, because it is not achieving ANYTHING.
Dream on and make things happen.

Why do M.A or Ms.c If one can be able to pass it with simple graduation. It is a waste of time for students and you yourself mentioned that These master degrees can be passed by self study so what is their purpose in css exam.

dear brother

then why 14 years of education?

if some one only matric pass can attmpt and pass this exam

even why matric

some one could say i am illiterate and have no degree not even matric.. but i can pass css by working hard at home or academy etc...

then why not he/she be given chance

why only 14 years be allowed
why not 12 years?

agr ap ka point yh h k 14 year wala pass kr skta to higher education ki kia zrorat hai
to es k response main to bht kuch kaha ja skta as i mentioned above.

no offence please.

but i strongly agree that such changes must be announced 2-3 years before implementation...

be if syllabus and group combination change as happened this time... yh b at least 2 years phly anounce hna chahoy tha..

be it cluster based system

be it requirement of masters degree.

best wishes... now only possible is that make your self upto the mark to remain in the system...

Self study is useless? Education is a waste of time for students?
What the hell kind of students are they?
All that matters is the money and job!
Excellent, I applaud you. You will be very very successful in life.
CSS is just an exam with a pathetic pass percentage. You will have to do other things if you fail. Who will hire a B.A??

There is no need to be hyper.I realize the importance of education ,especially higher education. In Pakistan more than 40 pc peoples live below poverty line so they cannot afford higher education. And was the 2 year graduation not the minimum qulification before?I am suggesting that these reforms be implemented few years after their announcement so students can prepare accordingly. And what about students who are currently doing Mbbs or Engineering thought of getting two year graduation to sit for css.Everybody has right to be given opportunities. Now Do not give me lectures that how can a student doing mbbs or enginnering can opt for two year graduation to sit for css beacuse thats immoral, money should not matters etc.You do not judge people in this country.Pakistan is not Denmark,Switzerland etc.So put a stop do your moral lectures.People do need money in this country.
