Default Role of Army Retd. officers in Pakistan Administrator service

Hello , I have heard that the army officers which are inducted in DMG group gets more lucrative and field posts.

For example the whole administration of Islamabad is of retd. Capt i.e DC isb capt. Mushtaq, ADCG Islamabad Capt. Isani, and rest 80% AC are also retd. capt.

DCO Lahore is capt retd. DG LDA is capt retd. The chief secretary of Punjab is Capt. retd. The chariman NAB is Maj retd.
Also in Gilgit Baltistan Govt. almost all the field posts including AC, DC , SSP, IGP are with army officers.

Are they more capable in public policing ? Are they better officers/ administrators . ?? or are they good subordinates to there political bosses? what is the reason behind it preferably. Seniors Kindly explain .. is It better to join DMG or police through Army quota if one has solid reference ??

Yes they are more talented, more capable, they have a lot of leadership qualities as well as they follow rules and regulation as compared with civilian officers.

I've heard that military officers do not even have to take the written exam, which is outrageous. Whichever officer has the best pawwa gets the job. Just like everyone else, they should have to sit in the exams and pass them on the same merit as any regular candidate. It was Gen. Zia ul who brought this rule into the CSS exam, I believe.

And one more thing. Pakistanis are obsessed with titles. For God's sake, you were a captain or major in the army, now you are an administrator or policeman, you have spent longer in the civilian job than you did in the army, so why are you writing Capt (R) or Dr. when you have nothing to do with those professions anymore. Nobody cares if you were a captain or doctor earlier.

Pakistan. The only country in the world where a policeman will be a "Dr."

People in Pakistan need to understand that civil and military are two completely different types of services, if someone from the armed forces wants to join the civil service, they should be tested just like everybody else and have the proper qualifications/skills.
