Default CSS cluster based examination system

can anybody please explain me what is cluster based examination? i want to appear in the css exam in 2017. should i prepare for optional subjects from the given groups now? or should i wait for the new syllabus and groupings?

Cluster means a specific division among the candidates on the basis of their qualification who are applying for the exam. There will be different clusters for candidates, suppose there is a candidate having mass com. degree then he/she will be bound to apply to a specific cluster. Similarly for other degree holders there will be different specialized clusters or general cluster. Nobody assures us at the moment that the news of cluster based examination is authentic or not. So you just focus on compulsory subjects for now and wait until FPSC makes an official announcement.

I thought it would be a nightmare, somehow, as it happens to be, it's not that bad an idea. I could live with it. I'm very much in the general cluster. No CS history nor Finance background.

Continue further discussion here. CSS Cluster Based Exams to be introduced in 2017. Please avoid making multiple threads for the same thing already posted.

Wait for the official announcement. In the meantime carry on your preparation with the same pace.
