Default salary of newly appointed csp officer -2017

Please tell me the salary of the newly appointed Grade 17 CSS (federal) qualified officer along with benefits.

Also , how long does it take to get a promotion

And does the experienced candidates have an edge in getting a promotion in future.

its same as any grade 17 officer in Federal Government, initial is Rs. 30,370 + allowances and certain groups have advantage like customs and police etc

I googled it out and it was around 66,000. I cant post the link as it is getting blocked (it is on rightsjob).

I need a bit clarification this please, if you can.

30,000 is so low

Salary quoted by @DuxBux is correct as it is basic salary.

Candidates who clear CSS and get allocated have the same salary as mentioned above. However, this salary increases after CTP.

Yes, 30k is too low, especially for someone (like me) who has been working for 8-9 years. But you have to make a choice when you are deciding your career. Some careers have higher prestige than salary.
