I just saw the results and was quite shocked to see the passing ratio.. Is CSS that much tough? or every single candidate who apply for css get a chance to sit in exam without shortlisting? :s what should we do in paper/interview or at other stages to score high? I really want to know so that I take a wise decision..

Any competitive exam is tough for them who don't prepare well, and there is no short listing process to drop down the list of applicants, Many people don't follow the strategy, some have been seen not serious, they just take exams by inspiring someone else, don't opt subjects with logic, and don't continue the self commitments..
Aforementioned all of the lacks cause the failure of Exams.

Appreciation is the right of Juniors too.

Yes unfortunately the passing ratio is very low. There is no shortlisting. Anybody who applies sits in the exam. My analysis of others' experiences(as i have qualified in my very 1st attempt by the grace of Almighty), gives the following reasons of failure;
-Lack of command on English, a proper understanding of English language as you may yourself see that most of the candidates flunk in English.
-The medium for all other subjects is also English, so if one does not have command on it, one may not be able to comprehend the question and ultimately will fail to give proper answers.
-Then there is lack of commitment or you may say seriousness.
-Wrong subject selection is also a reason. People blindly follow the successful candidates and go for the subjects they had opted without realizing whether they have aptitude for that subject or not.
-In the end comes the luck factor but I personally believe that luck only favours those who deserve it. Input is necessary for output.

Well with a preparation of just two months I don't know whether I am eligible for giving tips or not. but I'll be happy to answer any of your questions.
I think you are 2014 aspirant, this means you have much time. Make a schedule. Start from the compulsory subjects. Read daily dawn. This will improve your english as well as will help you in CA. Read the editorials particularly and then try to write their precis and get it checked by a good teacher. For other subjects, I would like to advise you not to cram anything. Try to understand what you study and then formulate your own opinion.

Three days are more than enough. Read essays and articles of eminent writers. Extensive reading will help you a lot and you will be able to develop a better expression. For paper two solve the objective portion of past papers of atleast 15 years. Do not lose hope. Trust yourself. Tell yourself that you can do it. Do not let it get on your nerves as I guess it is already getting on your nerves and you are not taking a proper sleep. Just relax and do not exhaust yourself.
