senior engineers plz guide that whether pec certificate is must for the css or just hec recognized engineering degree is valid??? bcz pec issues the certificate after 1 year minimum??? guide plzzzz

i have applied for pec registration on march 2015 but did not get any reply or information yet. is there anyone who can guide me that how much time is needed for pec registration?

Dear : PEC usually takes 3 to 4 months in verification of transcript, accreditation and registration number. There is a helpline number available on pec official website by which you can check your status of registration.

I don't know about the one year bar to get PEC registration but I also applied in March 2015 and got my PEC registration card at my doorsteps two weeks back.

And you are not required to submit PEC registration to take CSS.

I graduated in 2011 and applied this year in March. You should get PEC registration as soon as possible because almost every government entity is asking for PEC registration when recruiting through NTS.


All you need to do is take your original documents to any Liaison Office of PEC or PEC Head Office, fill in the required form along with fees (that they will tell you according to year of your graduation) and submit it.

Documents required include,

1. Degree
2. Transcript
4. Intermediate Certificate
5. Matriculation Certificate

They will handover you a slip when you submit the application form, keep it safe till you receive your PEC registration card through courier.

Yes it is valid for CSS along with pass certificate.

Usally it takes 4 to 5 month in PEC registration, And PEC registeration is not mandatory for CSS,
