Essay of three thousand words, in CSS, carries 100 marks.
This means that for 50 marks you have to write 1500 words.
Similarly, for 25 marks you have to write 750 words.
This implies that for 20 marks you have to write = 750 x 20/25 = 600 words

I will say that a candidate with average sized writing can write 200-250 words a page. According to your estimate a candidates answer would be 3 pages long. I think this is too short. The reason I think this is because I have asked many seniors who have scored good marks what the ideal length of an answer is, and the answer is mostly 5-6 pages, with the minimum recommended length at 4.5 pages. In terms of words, that would be 950-1050 words an answer. Please don't take my word for it. I have not yet attempted the exam, let alone scored good marks in any subject. However, I believe you should confirm any assumptions you have about answer length from those who have gotten good marks. If you give your best and fail, that's alright, at least you tried. However, if you fail because you did not verify your assumptions that would be a tragedy.
