Default Want to know about foreign services of pakistan.

That is if a person qualify the CSS exam and want to join the FSP, then he will be designated as section officer, so I want to know about the salary of section officer in FSP and also about other facilities for section officer.

Could you also comment on the nature of the job as in how stressful or politically challenged it is?

Secondly, I hear Inland Revenue Service (IRS) is not too different in terms of perks and benefits. Could you comment on what IRS also offers in comparison (any accommodation and car like Customs)? And what about the salary (heard they both offer double salary)?

Bro i know that PCS is much better than IRS which is why candidates after FSP and PAS keep it at third priority even better than Police which is why Merit of Custom group of punjab candidates especially boys end at 60 or 65.while IRS merit ends at 133 to 140 for boys of punjab.

Second in Custom authority is greater aa compared to IRS.both jobs are less stressful and sadly more easy to earn by dishonest mean

Assistant collector custom Noor muhammad khan exposed 10 billion rupees subsidy corruption of punjab gov.influential political leaders first sacked him from duty then dragged him into countless cases.

So the basic responsibity of these custom officers is to collect taxes and you know how many pay taxes in pakistan

About IRS

I dont know much.it was created in 2010.job is less stressful, working conditions are neat and officers can work in home district too.both custom and irs officers has job related to FBR.

In perks
Cultus car provided by gov for IRS officers in 17th grade but they increase as grade increase.promotion in both groups is good

While Chairman of FBR is usually from Custom group not IRS

For more details for IRS here is the link

Thanks so much for the detailed response, friend.

I must admit that whatever I know is based on hear-say; I do not claim to have expert knowledge about anything pertinent to CSS (that's why I rely on you folks for these important tips).

I actually put Customs on 2nd place on my occupational groups list but the political pressures involved (hint: Ayaan Ali case) and the kind of illicit favours expected of customs officers (consequences for those who try to turn them down and be honest) sort of make me think twice about it. Sure, the prospect of an accommodation/car with double salary appeals alot to me but a threat to my life/family if I refuse to comply with illegal requests really puts me off.

That's why I've been wondering if I should put IRS in place of Customs and Customs on 3. I have heard IRS also offers double salary (70-80k I think) and a car (as you mentioned) but not sure if an accommodation is offered at entry level.

Just so you know, this is the combination I have drafted for myself so far:

1. FSP
2. CSP
3. IRS
4. PAAS
5. CTG
6. MLCG
7. OMG
8. Railways
9. Postal
10. PAS
11. Information
12. PSP

What's your assessment of that grouping. You think I have ranked that correctly in terms of perks and benefits? Please do share your opinion because it matters alot.

FSP is peaceful group along with CTG,MLCG,Postal Group is the most peaceful group,PAAS is another good group.but in all groups apart from OMG they provide accomodation

Second bro.think to serve the country not look towards perks....my humble advice☺
