Sorry to encounter you stand, but, university employees are not considered as government employees. A university is like a separate government within a state, with its own governing body and other administrative units. They're autonomous institutions and sindependent of the government. The government just provide finance and wields powers regarding regulations. A university employee is not entitled to the perks and privileges in the like of a government servant! They can't have a free arm license et al., Regards

if an organization is autonomous and has its own administrative unit it do not mean that it is not under government or its employees are not considered as government employees...

Well, I didn't say that their status as autonomous institutions merits that people working there are not being considered as Government Employees (GE)! I said that they're not considered as GEs because universities are independent institutions: The reason behind this status is the provision of intellectual liberty in the West, in our case, universities are nothing short of government departments and that's counted as their DEMERIT. In practice, they're government institutions but in theory (talking about their legal status), they're not! Even universities' employees can't claim age relaxation for the reason of their service in a HEI. Regards
