well Economics should be opted if u have studied the subject at your BA or MA level. If you dun have background of subject, dn its better to go for some general subjects.Personal interest also matters as this subject is quite boring for those who lacks interest. Some people argue that Economics is not a marks scoring subject, what i believe is if you have grip over subject, and have good interest in graphs and elaboration of graphs dn go ahead, you can score good. Also its a lengthy subject so polish your skills to give quick n quality review. The only Drawback of economic is that you cant go for selective study as you have to compare different market situations etc.

well it is a general perception that Economics is not marks scoring but if u have strong grip over the subject dn u can score good in this subject .Also if u dun have background knowledge dn it would be difficult for you to understand different concepts in limited time. As any technical subject must be opted by those who have studied that before and Economics is technical one. The Economic paper of CSS 2011 was different n was bit more conceptual. So now it would be more tough to get good marks in this subject.
