Sir, Arif. I have been one of your silent spectators for the days when you got failed in pmskpk's english essay paper by two marks and you didn't lose heart against the strong tides of hardluck like a brave captain of the sinking ship and proved that success is the hallmark of those who never giveup the race till the accomplishment of task. indeed, you are really a man of inspiration for all of us. Read quality English books, write English texts and get it checked by someone to minimize the grammatical errors, speak English regularly with friends. This is how one can have a grip over English language. Reading English newspaper daily is a must for everyone. The are millions of words in English language, how many can one manage in this short span of preparation? Instead of focusing more and more on vocabulary, focus on fluency and grammatical error free writing. The more one reads, the more one gains vocabulary. Learning the meaning of selected words is of no avail, learning how and where to use them is the main idea. And this, you can learn only through reading :)

Dear Mr. Arif. Would you recommend forestry as an optional for those who have no relevant background regarding the subject? Does this subject requires exhaustive and in depth study or it can be easily covered?
Thanks

Thanks
In that case you will have to make extra efforts as the subject is diverse and dry.People have managed to score well in forestry despite having no background in it as it is one of the scoring subjects. Hard word is prerequisite!

You will have read another book for post-partition era e.g. Ikram Rabbani's version or Prof. hassan askari's notes/book.

When you study compulsory subjects, you will get enough material for essay writing. Start writing outlines first and then essays accordingly. Get these essays checked regularly to know your mistakes. All the best!
