Default PIA/CAA or aviation divisions?
AA,

Dear Seniors and all members,

Would anyone know, is it possible after css to get deputed to PIA, CAA or the various aviation divisions of provincial governments and federal government? The reason I ask is because I am a trained pilot - there are no jobs on the horizon at this time for people like me, and I am planning to do css InshaAllah.

I wish to continue my experience in aviation after css as well. Will the above scenario be possible?

Legally and administratively, it is quite possible. However, you need to find a person in the organization you want to go to, who is willing to accept you and is able to send a formal request to establishment division in this connection.

Post Decadence of PIA
The decadence of PIA can be directly attributed to the appointment to non-administrative personnel i.e. ordinary pilots, on the post of Managing Director of PIA. A peep into the past is enough to tell us that PIA remained as a profit making entity for no less than 50 years. Because back in those days, only the CSP officers or the air chiefs, with more than 30 years of experience in public administration, were appointed as the head of the airline. That convention was a marked contrast from today as the incumbent MD and his predecessors are chosen from the lot of pilots with little or no experience of administration. Government should appoint public administrators with flawless careers and with no less than 30 years of experience in government sector.
