no not at all,fundamental task of DMG officer is to administer allocated area/district so there is no question arise reagarding posting in favourit city,if home town is your priority than u can join join IRS,Customs,PAAS

Vint please tell me that in IRS, customs and PAAS.....there is surety that one will be posted in his/her home town? And what will be the post one will get in IRS or customs? And is it wise to prefer IRS and PCS over DMG?

there is a point jis group ki salary ziada hoti hai us kay benefits kam hoty hein ya late milty hein for example IRS/Custom aur jis group ki salary kam hoti hai us ko job k 1st day pr hi gaari,ghr,body gurd,personal staff mil jata hai for example DMG

before selecting group u should keep following things in ur mind

ur gender
ur family
ur aptitudur himat and hosla too

agr tum daadi kisam ki larki nhi ho.saal main 3,4 dafa posting kerwa ka family ko disturb nhi kr sakti,career oriented bhi ho aur family k qareeb bhi rehna chahti ho tii yes IRS,Custom and PAAS are for u otherwise agr meri kahi hue batoon ko bother nhi krti too join DMG or Police

PAAS join krti ho too 100% chance hai kay tumhari job location AG office hoga jo mall road pr hai from grade 17,agr custom join krti ho too 85% chance hai k lahore ( if u r from lahore) main hi posting ho other wise faisalabad,multan etc main bhi ho sakti hai mgr kisi choty shehar ya village main nhi unlike DMG. Custom office bhi wahan hi hai jahan AG office hai sirf aik sarak ka hi fasla hai
IRS ki job bhi lahore main hi kerni parti hai balkay yun kaho PSP aur DMG ko nikaal kr baki jitny bhi group hein un ki job capital city main easily mil jati hai mager DMG aur PSP mian us waqt tk koi chance nhi jb tak PM etc etc ki sifarish na ho

If you get allocation in PAS (DMG), then there is chance that during your mid-career (BPS-18/19), you may get a posting /two postings in your home district. But rule out this possibility in start of your career as well as during top management career

Ok Muhammad T S Awan: Lets talk about perks and privilges of a DMG officer and IRS or Customs officer. Both of these cadres have BS-17 or 18 in start then is it a garuntee for an IRS or Customs officer that he or she will get a govt vehicle plus residence because it is for sure for a DMG ?

both cadre start with grade 17 DMG got house,vehicle,gurds,staff on 1st day of its office duty because its requirement of their duty in far flung areas like badeen,kachi,rajanpur etc etc because they need to work in fild rather secteriate in most cases,further more if u opt for secteriate u wont get car and house

on the other hand in IRS u will get all above mentioned perks slowly slowly woth progress of your grade because probationers are posted in capital cities not far flung araes
