PSP deputation to other departments

What are the chances of deliberate deputation of PSP officer to other departments mostly FIA . Is it easy or one need high level reference here as well ?

Secondly is there any minimum time period such as only after 5 years of service in PSP one can be deputed anywhere else etc .

thridly, Is there any maximum period of deputation , such as maximum of 5 years in any of the department or it can be permanent.

As for as PSP officers deputation to FIA is concerned, you must know that FIA is thought to be the sister organization of Police and its not difficult to go and serve in FIA. In fact, a lot of PSP officers served in FIA during their careers. During ASP-ship it is relatively difficult to join FIA because this is start of your career and your are supposed to learn things in the field. Afterwards, its easier. And Maximum tenure for deputation depends very much on your own talent, skills and to an extent your links.

deputation period is initially for 3 years, extendable to further 2 years, in other words total deputation period is 5years. after stated years, you will back to your parent department, otherwise it will create problems in calculation of pension. as for as qualifying service for deputation is concern, there is no rules for qualifying period, borrowing department can requisite you on the next day of your appointment/arrival. during this period, your parent department can call you any time to his parent department. for deputation, borrowing department will send your requisition to your parent department, or if there is vacant post in borrowing department, then your competent authority can send you on deputation without knowing your assent.

Can you also tell about CID ? Is there a same case as well ?

i) PSP officers do not go to FIA on deputation, rather they are posted to FIA and they have designated posts in different ranks.

ii) If I am not forgetting anything, distribution of PSP posts in various departments is given Police Order of 1985. And I think there is no post of PSP in FIA in BPS -17, mean an ASP cannot be posted to PSP. ASPs complete their tenures usually at CSA, NPA, posting to FC and then posting to any province and after their promotion to the rank of SP (BPS-18), then can go on posting to other departments like FIA, IB etc.
