Default ANNIHILATE- nearly most opposite word?

1. Supplement (Izaafi)

2. Augment (Izafa karna/barhana)

3. Append (shaamil karna)

4. Contract (Agreement, Simatna/sukarna)

(ANNIHILATE means 'complete destruction')

Contract

Rest of the 3 indicate addition to something pre-existing while contract means initiating something new. Annihilate means completely destroying (or ending as I would presume in this case) something therefore most suitable opposite is contract

but this can be 'contract' that means minimizing/closing like contraction! it now resembles annihilate.

You are right. In that case, most suitable option seems to be augment

ANNIHILATE means To destroy completely so the right answer is augment
same question was asked in CSS 2011
