How to use 'To' and 'For' plz help.
How to use to and for in a sentence? is their any specific rule? I haven't found any appropriate explanation in oxford grammar book. plz help.

“To” and “for” are very common words and have many meanings in English. It would take me too long to explain all the uses of “to” and “for” to you.
I can think of one area, though, where a learner can be confused about which of these words to use as a preposition, for example in these sentences: a) I gave a book to my mother. b) I bought a book for my mother. In (a), “to” is used to indicate someone who receives something. In (b) “for” indicates who is intended to have something
