What is this life, if full of care
We have no time to stand and stare?
These beautiful lines are taken from an English poem “Leisure”, which suggests that people should not be lost in the worries of life and they should spare some time to enjoy beauties of nature. The proverb holds true in the modern era because the men have become too busy in achieving their economic targets. The result is quite obvious; the mechanization of the modern men.
Life is full of colors and every form of nature brings some form of beauty. Take for instance the gorgeous morning, which more often remains unnoticed, thanks to the people who are short of leisure. How unlucky are those who make buckets but fail to appreciate the orange sun in the morning or the beautiful chirper of sparrows. The wet trees present themselves as the beautiful maiden saturating their hair and singing the sweet songs. How unlucky is a folk who is acquainted with hard work but has no clue to fall in love with the beauties of nature. The life, no doubt, is a struggle for survival, but hardly any one realizes how easy it becomes to face challenges with a loving heart. Moreover, the true happiness lies in the beauty endowed by God. Those, who fail to take advantage of God’s gifts, fall in the darkest ditch of worries.
Therefore, it is incumbent upon all men to reserve some time from their schedule to take rest in the beautiful arms of nature. Life without leisure is not less than a curse as it turns a living being into a machine. The great English poet john Keats has perfectly described the need for beauty in his poem Endymion:
”A thing of beauty is a joy forever:
Its loveliness increases: it will never pass into nothingness: but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams,
And health,
