Islam and Terrorism represent two different concepts

It is totally misconception found in the minds of non-Muslims’ majority: regarding Islam their thoughts are; Islam gives rise to terrorism, Islam is its origin and that Islam and terrorism are two sides of a single coin. As a matter of fact, Islam never created it nor promoted it in any way. Islam always denounced it. However, only few misguided and misconceived Islamists who with their own wrong interpretation depicting inaccurate and inappropriate image of Islam to the world. On other hand biased media with either their owners’ agendas or in obsession of making ‘Big story’ In order to earn money and gain popularity by showing the negative picture of Islam to put label of ‘ Terrorism’ on the peace-loving religion.
Logically, the best way to judge any religion better is to know its teachings rather than on the basis of conduct of its followers. The Quran and sayings of the Prophet reject every kind of terrorism. The Quran says,’’ If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder or to spread mischief in the land it would be as if he killed all mankind’’. (5:32) and It also equates saving one life with all mankind. Further Quran says,’’ The blame is only against those who oppress men and wrongly rebel in the earth.’’ Islam besides prohibiting oppression and terrorism, commands faithful Muslims to show kindness to all who seeks to live in peace. Prophet of Islam too forbade the killing of women, children and elderly in even times of war. He commanded that justice should be shown to not only humans but also animals.
In a nutshell, there is no room for terrorism in Islam. Nothing is there in Islamic teachings that support terrorism. Islam and terrorism are two entirely different concepts which can merge with each other at any point.
