Asslam U Alaikum to All!! I hope All of you are fit and fine. I am starting a section of "SENTENCES CORRECTION" in which I am going to post 5 to 10 sentences daily.

Everyone is requested to take part in it esp.Maimoona Rashid and Mr. Zuhaib, for it is a question having 5 marks. On the other hand, besides CSS, it is also beneficial to other competitive exams. In this way you can kill two birds with one stone.

police is a collective name of group and some collective names are taken as a singular one of them is a police so helping verb is used here.
so the police is coming or approaching is a correct sentence.
