Default What are reasons majority fail in English Essay?

Owing to Css prep, I have seen 90% and above fail to crack the main essay paper. Moreover the academies and mentors have failed to provide quality guidance. What is the other option to improve our essay?

The only way to improve English is to have complete control over its grammatical base. No amount of shortcuts or "notes" from academies can help. English Essay is a test of the level of control an aspirant has over English language. Essay cannot be passed by cramming a few topics. The examiner wants to see your writing style. If your writing style is solely your own and developed through rigorous practice and application, there is no possibility of you failing in the Essay exam. Develop your writing style by reading lots of books and articles. You will get to know how writers and authors employ analogies, sarcasm, references, quotations, and facts in their writings. This will help you gain an understanding of how professional English is written. Your knowledge of different aspects of grammar also needs to be perfect. I use the word perfect because it is not only possible but downright easy to write without grammatical errors. All it takes is practice - a lot of practice.

Majority fail in essay because they don't understand correctly what is being asked. And then secondly , they write irrelevant stuff and don't stick to the topic. Thirdly , they have no idea that how to use connectors etc in essays. Some people use more than required while others don't use any .
And then some people just don't think before writing ,that is, they don't give proper time to think how to approach the given topic ,and before that they don't think that which topic will be best for them to attempt. And then comes time management and lack of writing practice.
But ,even if you do all these things , main reason that aspirants fail in essay remains that they don't understand topic properly and keep on writing about things that are not relevant to the topic being asked.

10/10 every thing Muhammad Ali Chaudhry Bhai said. One more thing is that people dont know how to write an outline. Sure everyone knows WHAT an outline is. BUT writing an outline according to the question being asked in the essay statement is crucial.

Think about it. On an academic, professional and testing level, nowhere in the world does the examiner ASK for an outline. I personally think that an outline helps the examiner in quickly checking thousands of papers. If the outline is incorrect or irrelevant, then the chances of the student failing is high.
