hello i'm not much of an essay'ist but i'll try to throw some light on the topic..

Having seen your outline i can safely say that you started of the right path.The opening paragraphs should have been peripheral with the real emphasis on the current situation.
Then you started the correct tone again with enumerating the causes because of which we face the the danger of a third world war.....
after that one had to give suggestions by which we can prevent the war for example...
1.Dialouge among nations...
2.Dialouge among the religions.
3.Discarding the clash of civilization theory
4.end to us unilateralism
5.peaceful solution to world issues(palestine.kashmire,kosovo)
6.strengthening the World organizations (like un)
etc ect...

I think that your effort was a fine attempt and i pray that you may pass...
