An essay is just a juxtaposition of the opic given and ur individual views.
As for ur given esay i wd go for the following outline:
*Unity is a virtue not only in the human world but also in the animal world i.e.Bees,ants,crows,etc.
*Universal unity:The Universe seems to dictate that there's only one God n v need obey Him.
*An argumental para:"If we see this world we observe that those who keep unity at all hours take over their enemies.(Give the example of Jang-e-badr and jang-e-uhud.).Unity is but a great virtue and natural necessity.
Then we come to the the benefits of unity....they are,Strength,security,prosperity.
Here we come to practical points after say covering 3/4 pages of attempting this essay.
Give the example of early islam,when they all stood together,n conquered almost all the world.then put a para abt what led Islam to divisions.Then come to present world phenomenons,like 20th century unity and division values.
This i deem covered 7/8 pages,now its time to revert to calamities that division bring forth.give 1'/2 page to it like Muslim Ummmah, etc.
Give the reasons for Muslim Ummah's division.
Conclusion:we saw that United the people stood firm and even fell ,fell divided like Iraq got destroyed ,not pakistan.Afghanistan got occupied,not pakistan...Iran got threatened,not pakistan.OIC must come up with a strong message to the wqestern world abt her potentials etc
Those who know it better need not super-explain it.

i think this time it would be more than these techniques
because if the traditional way of writing is still in practice than it will be very hard between us to take advantage
we should try little different of the traditional, it will be a risky option but as said
"No risk no gain"
so lets try our luck like this

I agree to you that traditional styles should be modernized but i believe that these traditional styles are the fruit of experience of may master mins that is why we really cannot avoid them at all. We need to use them and modernize them as well. That will really augment our skills in the field of essay writing.
