Default State of Education in Pakistan - Comments are appreciated

Dear moderators, CSS and PCS aspirants,

I am sharing my outline on state of education in Pakistan. Tough Education is not a single topic but it has multidimensional aspects. It can appear in paper from any angle. My outline is more general one:

State of Eduction in Pakistan

Introduction
Education as Development tool (Importance)
Purpose of Education
Education Infrastructure in Pakistan
Millennium Development goals and Education
Challenges faced by Education in Pakistan

A. Administrative & Governance Issues
1. Multiple Hierarchy
2. Poor Institutional Infrastructure
3. Sad state of Human Resource (Teachers)
4. Examination System

B. Social Issues
1. The Gender dimension
2. Drop out Ratio
3. Child Labour

C. Policy Issues
1. Lack of Resources
2. Medium of Instruction
3. State of Primary Education
4. Gap between theory and Practice

18th Constitutional amendment and devolution of Education to provinces.

Remedies

1. More Resource Allocation
2. Good Governance
3. Education Policy at National and Provincial level.
4. Career Guidance Program
5. Training Programs for Teachers
6. Importance of Mother Tongue at Primary level.
7. Special Initiative for child labor (work and education program)

Conclusion

I am more skeptic towards last part i.e. remedies section. How can I make it more effective and eye catching.

Dear your effort is really nice , but i think you could add these points as well which are exclusively related to State of education in Pakistan ,
HEC issues
Ghost schools
mismanagement of existing funds
Advancement of decade old syllabus
Private schools fees structure ( this is current problem )
Tough punishment to non-responsible government school teachers
Militants bombing schools is also a serious issue
Finding solution to drop out reasons, which may be:
  • parental attitude toward girls education
  • sanitation issue
  • schools are far away
  • under trained or un trained staff

You are more likely to get feedback if you make outlines of the recent exam essay topics as most of the people here have taken the exam and those topics are more challenging than State of Education like topics.

Thank you Budda for your concern. Education is one of the most important topic in 2015 in way or other. If you look the trend of past 3 years there is certainly a topic related to education.

Essay 2014 (Re-exam)
Only a progressive education at all levels can ensure national progress.

Essay - 2014
Privatizing higher education-generating knowledge or making more money for the opulent

Essay - 2013
1. There should be colleges and schools just for men/boys and some just for women/girls (Some how) and
2. . Meaning and purpose of education

Essay - 2012
A Critical Analysis of Education Systems in Pakistan

As far as essay is concern all topics are challenging. We have to reinvent our points on regular basis.

Those who have attempted this topic previous year are welcome to share their views.

Yes, in fact I am preparing more for SPSC-CCE rather than CSS. I will happen most probably in August this year.
