I agree. we should take it on its face value now. so how do you interpret it?

The topic that appeared in CE-2014 was "Violence is the LAFT refuge of the incompetent."
The chaos that followed was because some people didn't know if "laft" was even a word. There were those who knew the actual quotation and thus could easily figure out the typo in the topic. And rest were those who either skipped it or started inking pages deeming this word trifling. How your friend wrote on violence of refugees and got through has baffled me. @ Topic The typo is evident (a noun immediately followed by a noun. If that does not help, the latter part "necessity OF successors should.) While someone here has already boiled down the crux of the topic, I would just like to add that even if you didnt approach it using general principles of economics (e.g how standards of living, in general, do not deteriorate rather people tend to find other ways to have higher incomes in order to keep those standards intact etc), its still alright. If you substantiated your case with real world examples and if you approach the gist correctly, don't worry and concentrate on rest of the exams. This will only bog you further down in the quagmire of doubts. Best! |

i wrote with the same perspective that luxury of predecessors becomes necessity of successor. i figured out the mistake but was worried y examiner has not announced the typo...anyways my outline was somewhat like this:
-prologue(an intro telling how science has changed the need-luxury heirarchy) -the three revolutions a) agricultural(invention of plow n food surplus) b) industrial revolution(steam engine etc, products oriented, div of labor) c) information revolution(service oriented) -illustrations a) virtual world overtaking real world b) cars replacing feet c) internet replacing family d)computers replacing humans e)WMD replacing life - causes a) habituation(psychological theory) b) spencer's theory of social evolution(i-e society is constantly improving) - consequences (wch i dont exactly remember) a)health life n peace are affected wch were once need but now seems like luxury -suggestions - conclusion a) the need-luxury heirarchy has inverted b) need for peaceful progress plz everyone who wrote this essay share outline m too worried if i'v done it rightly |

I think you have done justice to it. It still could have been better if you had kept it a bit simpler.

i dealt it sociologically- there was a girl who said that i did it wrong- she did it with the perspective that luxury predecessor refers to our luxurious predecessors(Mughal emperors) n topic refers to that they are too necessary for us n now we too have to live according to their luxurious lifestyle- plus i wanted to know wt should be essay's length?
