Free Speech Should Have Limitations

Freedom of speech is considered as a basic human right in all civilized socities. It is one of the basic elements of the democratic culture. Responsible use of this right is a blessing. Print and electronic media facilitated it. It reached on its peak with the development of social media. It is an important instrument of check and balance. It mobilizes the society by transorming its social,political and economic systems. It establishes democratic norms by inviting mutual consensus. But, its excessive use without any restrictions, results in chaos. It harms the dignity of the state. It disturbs the inter-faith harmony and invites ethnic violence. It deteriorates the law and order situation. So, to avoid confusion and disorder, free speech should have some limitations.


Check this introductory paragraph and point out mistakes. Suggestion will be welcomed.

You have expressed your ideas very eloquently. In my view, this introductory paragraph is up to the standard. There are only some spelling lapses, I know they are made in haste.

Brother very good introductory para. But you used the pronoun 'It' excessively which could be a bit harmful. Actually after using 'it' two times you should again mention 'free speech'. This will make the reader concentrate completely on the thing which is basically discussed in the para. And this will also keep some balance between nouns and pronouns.

It worsens law and order situation. So, to avoid confusion and unrest, free speech should have some limitations.
