Arrow Any scientific strategy for Art students

Assalam-o-Alakum everyone
well i have a serious query for u guys which might sound nonsense to most of u but infact i m having a serious trouble with it, and that is EVERY DAY SCIENCE. the prob is i m a pure art student, who never gone through this subject even not at Matrik level, so u can realize the gravity of the fact that i m totally unaware of it. now it really seems difficult to me when i explored it a bit, i initiated with this compuldory subject that brought my tempo really down. so plz a humble request to u if u plz suggest how should i cope with this prob in handling this subject. and if plz any easy book that could make clear my basic ideas regarding science.
i shall be highly thankful for ur kind concern
waiting

Wsalam

U need to study things and consider them properly. Sci is not a child's play. U have to think over it and u have to remember stuff at times. Well it is not that difficult if u study relevant books and give it appropriate time as u are an arts student.

Go for past papers oo. It will be helpful to u in this regard. Discuss with us whatever u fail to comprehend.

All d best

Default no problem

u r feeling inconvenient cz u have touched this subject first time
just do one thing ,take guide from a student or teacher only one or half month
study half an hour from a science teacher or student who is aspiring for css
science books of urdu medium school in 8th class,9th class they will make ur basic ideas clear
keep a science dictionary to u
dont worry ,work hard few days ,science is self exploring
u wil find ineterst
Thanks

Re:San@m.
Well honorable member....my fellows give u the very insgiht of how to cop with Science.I just add here some of my exposure...i have a friend who has same case as urs.didn't study Science from Matric..now very curiously studing Science!!!..so Beleive me no problem here in science!Science is just exploration of our daily life and to produce some good for leading a better life!
First thing in order to study science, is to keep in mind that u have to study it with interest...Remember Science is just study of life and life practices nothing more!Like all biology stuff is filled with how organisms build off and how they perform life tasks....so it seems quite interesting..Similarly Physics and chemistry throw light on matter and energy..In this universe all things made of material we technically say it a name Matter!exceptions are there but ignore for the moment! And for all tasks u need force or energy to do that thing!..so it very relate to your life and surroundings...U must have ur perception abt Science its just study of whats u and whats around you, nothing more!..Hope u got my point:-)...Wish u all the best!!

@sanam

All the members have guided you in their best capacity, i'd add a little more in the list of suggestions.

I think you should participate in discussions on scientific matters. We've such discussions here. You can have such discussions with your friends or even family members as well. I myself had same problem in the initial, but after participating in such discussions like "Give scientific reason of following statement", i found myself very convinient with the subject.

@ sanam

Gen sci is all about the science in general. U need to build the basic concepts of it and for this u have to develop a curious outlook at the things around 1st. Going through books is nonetheless important, but the other half to understand, is by discussing ur querries with the people who have the basic concepts of it. I think that the august members of the forum are also here to answer with interest if u have any queries. It would be a help for us also, in the manner that it wont only make our expression of thought better, but it is not beyond possible that u may bring into our consideration any topic about which we also dont know. Then i think we will search for it together.
Also keep in view the way u r required to reproduce ur answers in the paper and build ur concepts, accordingly. For this reason, i think that Islamabadian has already suggested u a good book.
For other references, u can consult the internet also, try to start with the encyclopaedia and then gradually move onto comparatively complex form.Googling is a good strategy to hunt for the answers.
http://www.howstuffworks.com
is also a useful site to help u deal with the basic concepts of everyday science topics. Stress on the concepts than cramming up.
Remember, only a good strategy is the shortcut to hardwork.

All the best !
