It is extremely hard to collect information, owing to the new syllabus.

The prophet Sal'allaho alayhi wasallam taught the Quran not only by preaching but also by practicing it's teaching as a lead example. Hadees. (There are difference types of it. E.g Hadees e faili-what he did and Hadees e qaoli-what he said). Study of Hadees is also an institution in itself. There are examples that he would even draw a diagram on ground for the Sahaba when he would be explaining something. This is an example of visual aids. (Helping aids like charts, placards etc that we use in our institutions to give an explicit picture or idea of something.)
These are few examples. I hope you now have an idea of an ideal/best teacher
The question covers both the aspects. You have to explain what methodology he chose while teaching. So that includes both what and how. The emphasis should be on how I guess.
Senior members' opinion will be highly appreciated.
