This dreadful result of islamiat compelled me to give my suggestion and tips here.I am giving a brief sketch of attempting paper.
  • First of all understand the question carefully and try to know what examiner really demands from you. Don't adopt conventional approach towards understanding question, broad you vision and try to answer it with relevant arguments.
  • Always try to be do something different, unique and impressive is the main tip to attempt css papers, do apply this rule over Islamiat paper even. Always start your answer with an Ayat or Hadith. It 'l be more affective to draw attention of the examiner towards your approach in direct way.
  • Always try to up date yourself with recent issues and corporate it with Islamic concepts like Ijtihad in modern era, Ijtihadti institutions in Pakistan adn their functions? Role of Islamic Ideological Council in legislation etc.
  • I mentioned these topics because the pattern of Islamiat paper is more like to be a current affair paper. But adopt a neutral, rational and critical approach while writing instead of a biased opinion. Try to be a moderate Muslim, don't enforce your opinion upon the reader.
  • Always garnish you paper with quotations of well renowned Islamic Scholars and jurists, it 'l impress your examiner and depict your in depth study about the issue.
  • Attempting paper in Urdu and English is not a big issue main thing is to put right information in a proper systematic way with impressive writing style. In Urdu you can quote relevant shair as well but only if you have good Urdu expression otherwise go in English.
  • Don't put ahrab if you dont know how to do it accurately but if you are gud at then you can go for it but only if you have spare time at the end otherwise it cant affect your performance.
  • Try to avoid putting any conflicting statement or issue about which you don't have any accurate information. Only crystal clear knowledge about critical issues are welcomed by the examiner.
  • As far as references are concerned, put references of hadith and Quranic Ayats only if u know properly otherwise don't mention it. Try to learn some easy and famous Hadith and Ayats about each topic. Make things easier for yourself instead of getting low marks because of wrong references.
  • Try to end your paper with a quotation, hadith or Ayat supporting your views (conclusion).
In short paper would be more impressive if it comprises of following points:
  • Literal and Technical Meaning
  • Historical background (if needed)
  • Scholar's opinion
  • Main body (sub headings, points related to the issue, it can be according to demand of the question)
  • Conclusion (It should be neutral, put arguments from different schools, scholars etc, analyzed them critically and give your opinion but rational opinion can fetch good score instead of being extremist.

Islamiat is not a tough subject only a technical, systematic and critical approach is demanded to get good marks.

Regards,

well i got 22 at my 9 MCQs were correct.i think my failure in islamiat was that my paper might have been gone to typical Maulvi type of person .and as paper was more general rather than specific,he may have have rejected my paper due to liberal analysis written by me.

Lightbulb to fpsc

the main problem is with the examiners ,they think that they are the only perfect musulmans in this country, ofcourse there would be difference of opinion, and the examiner consider only those points which suits him and rejecting other.and in islamiat the approach of examiner should be more positive, regarding his sect and belief and restraning himself on hadis, sunnah and Quran.i think this approach would save many candidates.
i would beg fpsc to please sort out some moderate examiner so that aspirants could not suffer due to extreme liberal and bigot attitude.
thanks
